Flat Lying Sylvanite Crystals
|
Collection |
Robert Lavinsky |
Description |
The habit of these flat-lying crystals of Sylvanite in graphic intergrowths is sometimes called "Schrifterz." The effect is both surreal and beautiful. Dating to the mid-1800s or before, good hand-sized specimens from this type locality are extremely rare. This is an extremely rich and showy specimen. Ex Herb Obodda. |
