Twinned Swallowed Crystal
Twinned Swallowed Crystal from Fannin County, Georgia
Collection John Betts - Fine Minerals
Description Twinned crystals of brown Staurolite. The crystals twinned at 90 degree angles resulting in the rectangular shape, but the prism faces did not develop completely. It appears as if the larger crystal is "swallowing" the smaller one. Ex. Robert C. Linck (1905-1970).
Locality Fannin County, Georgia
Dimensions 21 x 19 x 16 mm.
