Description Slab of banded Agate that was cut into strips, then each section dyed with different chemicals, and reassembled to show the results. Ex. Ben Shaub; ex. Idar Oberstein. It is believed that Shaub used this as an illustration in a book. The reason this photo is listed here is to educate the laymen with the dyed colors often used in Agate slabs.
