Some mineral specimens have personality. Here is an "Alien-Faced" specimen of two isolated Analcime crystals on a breccia matrix. Some exceptionally large Analcime crystals have been found in Bound Brook, but while the size of the crystals here aren't all that large, the orientation of the crystals is remarkable. (The "nose" could have been a bit lower down for a better orientation, but I wasn't consulted when this piece was formed.) Collected by Robert Drift; acquired from Eric Stanchich in 2016.
